My Catechism Experience

Last Saturday, Darwin and I watched Late Nite Catechism at Coronet Theater in LA. We were late for about 10mins because it's hard to find a parking space around that area. We tried the one at Kinko's but it's $10 for 3 hours. NO WAY!!! We parked at Beverly Center even it's a block away. A little sacrifice since it's Lenten season.. When we arrived, the actress/nun told the class that she'll ask for a late fee for those who will come later than us.. Wooosh!! good thing we were not that late.. =P The nun discussed about Rules on how to become a saint, Catholic pratices, terms, doctrines, etc in a funny way... I can't stop laughing. There's "class" participation too wherein she gives reward to those who answers her questions correctly. If nobody raises a hand, she roams around to call someone.. Scary. I can't help but remember my Religion class experience back in highschool.. She sounds more like Sister Tessie, high pitch voice, strict and asks for donation.."Mission.. Mission..". hahaha that's my sister's famous line. She called Darwin and asked about Cain and Abel, if they had a wife.. She asked his name but he didn't completed his sentence. I know he's playing... She wants to hear.. "My name is _____ , sister". she asked how do you talk to a sister and he said "Hi sister.." she said.. "This is going nowhere".. hahaha. Overall, the show is good... will definitely watch its sequel..

Flash back
I have experienced teaching catechism/CCD to public school children. It's one the requirements in highschool but I had fun doing it coz I get a change to share Jesus' teachings. It's done every Wednesday and I handled grade one students. They were all nice to me. I remember I always have to think of new idea to make my class interesting.. But I'm not as funny as she is... =P

After the show, we went to JR's BBQ for dinner but before we were able to leave Beverly Center's parking... it took us forever... man, that's the worst parking space I've ever seen. We got trapped on our way out coz the exit lane is so narrow and cars go against one way lanes. At JR's BBQ, our waiter is the son's owner who was featured at Food Network. It's voted as one of the best barbecue restaurant in LA so we tried it. We ordered the famous pork BBQ sandwich and spareribs.

Good deeds and sacrifices..
Last Friday, Darwin was sick. I didn't wait for the traffic to die down, instead I went straight to the valley so he can drink his medicine. He's so hot when I arrived. I let him drink tylenol and thank God he felt better after a few hours.

Palm Sunday. Mass at 11am. Remained standing til the end of the mass even though there's still available seats.

This Wednesday, I'll go to confession at St. Gerald. it's been 2 yrs since my last confession

On Saturday, I'll do my yearly devotion.. Visita Iglesia
