A lotta Malfunctions..

Server
Our File/Print Server crashed yesterday. Nikko, my co-worker keeps on complaining about his PC that he can't access this and that. I almost lost my patience. hehehe But without his constant whining, I would not know that our server has crashed. Blessing in disguise huh?! I went to our server room immediately and did some troubleshooting. I never had problems with this server since I had it and I check the "Event Viewer" regularly for systems error to prevent downtime. Everytime I turn on the power, there's a sound that keeps on beeping.. I know for sure it's the power supply but its replacement will be available in 2 weeks.. Damn, I can't wait that long. We can't have downtime that long and I have no time to setup another server. Then I remember (from my previous job) that my tech guys do quarterly maintenance of the server. They clean the motherboard and it's peripherals by vacuum and blowdry. This server wasn't cleaned for the past 2 years. I opened the server and dust has already clogged up the fan, so I asked Rick's help to vacuum and blowdry the server. It worked!!! Thank God the server is up again. Now I just need to update my backup tapes just in case it happens again.

CD-R
The CD-Rs that I bought from Circuit City last night doesn't work. I thought I was lucky to find 2 spindles of CD-Rs in stock coz I was looking for a particular product that's on-sale. Imagine 100pk for $10.. that's a good deal. I told the cashier that I was about to purchase it online for pickup but it is not available at their store.. I was too excited to burn the audio music that my co-worker requested but now I have to return it..

Eyeglasses
I had my prescription eyeglasses for 4 years now and I havn't had an eye exam since then. I'm having a problem with my eyeglasses coz it's hard to drive at night. I'm also considering contact lenses but I dunno, maintaining it before going to sleep makes me lazy.. hehehe I went to Lens Crafters at Fox Hills mall last night for an eye exam but the optometrist is not available so I made an appointment on Thursday. The lady asked me if I want anti-glare lens like the one I have.. I said yeah but how come she knows it's anti-glare lens.. I was curious so I asked and she said it's because of the green reflection from light.. Ohhhhkaaaay!!!

Mickey Dees PSP code
I had Big Mac meal last night coz I'm craving for McDo burger and their hot fudge sundae. Then I remember that they have this promo on winning a Sony Playstation Portable (PSP) when you enter the code to their site. I can't find the code!!! I checked the french fries box, the receipt.. where is it???? Oh dammit! =P Anyway, the site is http://mcdonalds3.promotions.com/psp/front.do

NEW FINDS, COOL STUFF:
1) Google Earth
Want to see the aerial view of your house? Google Earth does it.. for FREE. You need to install something though before you can use it. Got this from Jun. SITE: http://earth.google.com

2) iPod2PC
To all iPod users out there.. this might come in handy.. Transferring files from your iPod to PC is NOT possible in iTunes...hmmm... That was before I discovered iPod2PC from Dar. I want to share or move songs from my iPod to another PC seamlessly without searching the files and this was made possible by iPod2PC. Go to http://www.casicakes.com to learn more about it.

Google Earth is interesting :) Too bad I couldnt see the roof of the house I live on from it. Only parts of Las Pinas are seen. But anyways, at least it lets me trot around the globe at just the cost of electricity and internet :p
