A lotta Malfunctions..

Server
Our File/Print Server crashed yesterday. Nikko, my co-worker keeps on complaining about his PC that he can't access this and that. I almost lost my patience. hehehe But without his constant whining, I would not know that our server has crashed. Blessing in disguise huh?! I went to our server room immediately and did some troubleshooting. I never had problems with this server since I had it and I check the "Event Viewer" regularly for systems error to prevent downtime. Everytime I turn on the power, there's a sound that keeps on beeping.. I know for sure it's the power supply but its replacement will be available in 2 weeks.. Damn, I can't wait that long. We can't have downtime that long and I have no time to setup another server. Then I remember (from my previous job) that my tech guys do quarterly maintenance of the server. They clean the motherboard and it's peripherals by vacuum and blowdry. This server wasn't cleaned for the past 2 years. I opened the server and dust has already clogged up the fan, so I asked Rick's help to vacuum and blowdry the server. It worked!!! Thank God the server is up again. Now I just need to update my backup tapes just in case it happens again.

CD-R
The CD-Rs that I bought from Circuit City last night doesn't work. I thought I was lucky to find 2 spindles of CD-Rs in stock coz I was looking for a particular product that's on-sale. Imagine 100pk for $10.. that's a good deal. I told the cashier that I was about to purchase it online for pickup but it is not available at their store.. I was too excited to burn the audio music that my co-worker requested but now I have to return it..

Eyeglasses
I had my prescription eyeglasses for 4 years now and I havn't had an eye exam since then. I'm having a problem with my eyeglasses coz it's hard to drive at night. I'm also considering contact lenses but I dunno, maintaining it before going to sleep makes me lazy.. hehehe I went to Lens Crafters at Fox Hills mall last night for an eye exam but the optometrist is not available so I made an appointment on Thursday. The lady asked me if I want anti-glare lens like the one I have.. I said yeah but how come she knows it's anti-glare lens.. I was curious so I asked and she said it's because of the green reflection from light.. Ohhhhkaaaay!!!

Mickey Dees PSP code
I had Big Mac meal last night coz I'm craving for McDo burger and their hot fudge sundae. Then I remember that they have this promo on winning a Sony Playstation Portable (PSP) when you enter the code to their site. I can't find the code!!! I checked the french fries box, the receipt.. where is it???? Oh dammit! =P Anyway, the site is http://mcdonalds3.promotions.com/psp/front.do

MJ Fever!!!

The Way You Make Me Feel (The Way You Make Me Feel)
You Really Turn Me On (You Really Turn Me On)
You Knock Me Off Of My Feet (You Knock Me Off Of My Feet)
My Lonely Days Are Gone (My Lonely Days Are Gone)

When I heard this song from my iPod while driving to work, I cant help but dance and sing my heart out.. "yiheee".. "ooohhhh".. it's one of MJ's trademark... Michael Jackson is soooo good. I'm not really an MJ fan but when I played his "Number ones" album which I DL'd for my co-worker.. damn I fell in love with him.. I know.. with all those craps he's been doing right now...but during the late 80s.. he's really hot..

So what's goin on lately..

Last night, Darwin and I had a hard time setting up the coffee table we bought at Ikea.. man.. that's really mind boggling.. I chose black coz that cherry color looks very common. Earlier, we hang out at Barnes and Nobles and I bought an inspirational book from the Dalia Lama. We had dinner at IHOP afterwards... I ordered Country Omellete.. yummy! It's nice to kiss and make-up.. sorry again. Talked to mom on the phone using Super Asia phone card which has bad reception. damn I wont buy this card again... Catch up on how the Balikbayans are doing and AJ, my cousin is actually at our house. I forgot to ask him how my old room looks... hehehe damn, I miss that room.

Jul 22 (Fri). Pizza Day.. Free Pizza from Fedex. I don't need to worry on what to eat that day coz usually Im having a hard time on what Thai food to order coz I already had almost eveything on their menu. Ate dinner at The Hut and had pastrami sandwich..

Jul 21 (Thu). Our boss is back from his one week vacation in Bahamas.. and it means less talk, less siesta, less kulitin.. hehehe

Jul 20 (Wed) I had pedicure before going to church. Helen took care of my tiny feet (as she calls it.. like im a baby.. hehehe) She keeps on suggesting that I MUST get those fake nails with artsy thing going on.. but.. it's just not me... =P Good thing I was at the nail spa early coz there was a lot of girls next to me. I had my nails dry for 10minutes then off I went to church for the Perpetual Help Novena. I'm supposed to meet my relatives at the airport but they'll arrive late and they cant go out anymore once they check in their baggage. So, I just called them and said Bon Voyage!

Jul 19 (Tue) Watched The 70s house... this show rocks. kaaliw!!!

Video Game Addiction

Last night, I played Bejeweled (for the first time) and it's so addicting. I thought it was boring but once you get the hang of it.. man, you dont wanna stop. You can DL the game at http://www.popcap.com if you wanna try it out too..

What else?? Ollie and I were supposed to go to this event in West Hollywood last Saturday but she flaked out on me.. hehehe just kidding. We were invited by Edward, a highschool friend, coz he knows the promoter of the event. I was kinda hesistant coz I know that WeHo is a gay/lesbian district. But he told me it's an exclusive event and those that were invited were all "straight".. (but who knows? hehehe) Ollie was stuck at this bridal shower of her friends' friend in Carson and she kept on texting me on how boring it was.. hehehe ayan kasi!!! Oh well, I just stayed at home and played the emulators like Contra, Super Mario Brothers 3, Bomber man, and Adventure Island. It's fun to play the games I used to have at my Family Computer when I was a kid. It was such a hit during the early 90s and I also had that 100-in-1 games before. I wish I can DL all of 'em.. hehehe I stopped playing when I can't feel anything at my right hand anymore and that was 3am.. dammit.. it's so addicting...

Oh, I saw War of the Worlds --- I don't like it.. it's so stupid.. I think I said "What the f**k?" 4 times.. There's a lot of flaws.. **SPOLIER** Like after the explosion, all electronic equipment SHOULD/WON'T work, but how come one of the guys who had a videocam able to use it... And how did the son made it home safe after the hill was fried by the Tripods and even beat Cruise to Boston, oh. there's a LOT more and it's endless...

Good thing I have Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban DVD and had fun watching it.. It's the best from its previous installments. I like the part when Hermione turned back time and I was able to connect the missing pieces.. I can't wait for HP and the Goblet of Fire movie this coming fall... (Abbie and Che: have you pre-ordered the new HP book na?)

Sunday, I met Tita Tina, Tito Noel and Sern at Seafood City for my "padala". They'll go to PI on Jul 22 (Aileen, your Felicity DVDs are with them.. sorry if sobra na-delay, I'll let mom call you =)

Short locks, ID4 shopping & dinner

All of my co-workers noticed my new hair style. They said it looks good to me and one even thought I had it done at Jonathan's Salon in Beverly Hills. Teehee flattering... Thanks to Sasi, my hairstylist.. I had a haircut last Saturday. I was actually scared cutting my hair short because it is thick, wavy and dry... like I always have a bad hair day hehehe. But since its too hot nowadays and I get pimples all over my face, I took the risk. By 10ish, she's done cutting my hair so I decided to get my hair straightened too since the whole process will only take 45minutes. She asked me if I want rebonding but much as I want to, I cant stay for 6 long hours. Anyways, I was happy with the result and I felt different when I left the parlor.

Last night, I watched Friends Season 1 dvd. I've been planning to watch it since last month but when Seinfeld Season 4 dvd came out, I watched the latter instead. I can totally relate with Rachel when she first had her independence... she has no idea how to do laundry, she doesn't know how to cook and all that. She's really cute. I'm more of a Monica also because she wants everything neat and organized. I'm Phoebe too coz sometimes I say something out from nowhere.. hehehe Oh, I miss them. I can't wait for the dvd release of their 10th season. I have completed seasons 1,2,3,5,7 and 9 already.

Last Monday, I celebrated ID4 at Camarillo outlet to shop. I went with Darwin, his mom and his aunt who's visiting from Canada. Then we had dinner at his uncle's house in Arleta. Watched "The Jacket" at home with Kleng, Michelle and Jenny. My brother told me that Adrien Brody has a resemblance with dad at this movie.. and that's the only reason why I rented it.. hahaha Well, they have some similarities.. Oh, I miss my dad. I listened to Radio Medium that night too at K-BIG 104 just to check it out. It helps the listeners to communicate with their loved ones who have passed on but you have to make an appointment before you can call. Oh well, I'd rather see my dad in my dreams than undergo such things.

Sunday, went to OC and had dinner at Market Broiler at The Block.
