Walk.. talk.. reminisce

DVDs kept pouring in.. Darwin just signed-up at blockbuster.com for DVD rentals. We used it for a free month trial but since we got hooked into it, he continued its service. We can rent 3 DVDs at a time with no late fees. They send the DVD's thru mail with prepaid return envelopes. Once we're done with the movie, we just have to mail it back and a new one will be on its way. It's hassle free!!! The only downside of online rental is I don't get the movie I want in an instant..I noticed that there's a wait time of 2days before it gets shipped.. Last weekend, we watched Without a Paddle and Troy. Now there's a lot of reason to just stay home..

Last Saturday, we went to Northridge mall to go shopping. I bought tops at Gap and I didn't spend any cent since I used the Amex gift card from my boss and the GAP gift card from Sher and Jannie. I went to Body Shop afterwards to look for the Lip & Cheek stain that I bought 3 years ago (Aileen & Charo, remember when we did our shopping for Ajie's wedding). I dropped the one that I had before and it broke into pieces coz it's made out of glass tube. I asked the saleslady if they still sell that item, she showed me a tube that's made of plastic. It's a different packaging but it's still the same. I bought it and was so happy that I finally have it again.. and this time, it wont break anymore.. good thinking Body shop.. hehehe.. I miss the metal ball though that gives me a weird feeling everytime I apply it on my cheeks. That night, we had Hypnotiq.. it's a drink I bought 2 weeks ago at Costco. I dont like the taste though, it's strong.. you need to add a lot of ice to like it.

Yesterday, we went to hear mass at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Angels. It's a newly built cathedral in downtown LA and it's where Lea Salonga got married. The interior is modern and it's really big but I still like old-style churches with big altars, stained glass windows and wooden ceilings with carvings.. We met Dinah and her family after the mass and said our hi and hellos then we left. We went to Philippe for brunch and we had their famous French dip sandwich. The resto is in a secret place and we wouldn't know about it if Darwin didn't see it from the Food Network. I think we should do it more often, you know... like food tripping... trying different kinds of food.. It's fun. we decided to go to "The Grove" since it's too early to home. we just walked and talked and reminisced.. such a lovely day..

We watched the last season of Sex and the City and finally.. we completed it.. I'm gonna post a separate review for that one.. so watch out for it..The last disk includes 3 alternative endings for it's Finale and interviews with the cast.. A lot of insights and Manolo Blahnik!!! Oh, those shoes.. I just love looking at those shoes and Im not gonna buy it.. it's very impractical, imagine a pair worth $400.. I enjoyed the show so much and I'm definitely gonna miss them..
