One More Chance
I finally saw the most awaited movie. I was watching Wowowee yesterday when I saw its movie trailer and that the DVD is already out. I called the Pinoy movie rental right away and found out that all One More Chance DVDs were checked out. I asked Darwin to DL the movie and he found it! Yey!

So I watched One More Chance and cried and I cried and then cried. There's a lot of scenes that's just heart breaking.

Birthday partee @ Bakersfield

We celebrated Bea and Sernan's birthday last Saturday at Bakersfield with close family and friends. Bea's birthday is on Jan 24 while Sernan's is on Jan 31... they are both my cousins. Since it's a long weekend, we decided to celebrate it on Martin Luther King's holiday.

We played Rock Band and everybody loved it! Justin rocked the house.. and he's only 8yrs old and it's his first time to play the drums. Sooo cute! Sernan played "expert" on guitars and he's really good at it. But he can only play "hard" level on Enter Sandman though, Mark did "medium" on bass and I did "easy" on drums and Darwin on vocals. We call ourselves the Dream Team =P We're only able to complete the whole song on our third try.. hahaha

Then we played beer pong. It's supposed to be funny coz whenever you lose, you take a shot and everytime you get a shot of beer.. it hard to aim for the cup or throw the ball the right way.. So... it's against "home" and "away". I'm on away team and my team mates are Darwin and my uncle who lives in Frisco. The score is pretty close but we always lose at the end.. My cousin took a video from his phone and it's really funny =P

I just found out that I have high cholesterol so I have to eat healthy now.. no more red meat, no more dairy products.. Arrgh! It sucks! What's cool is I got to know my body mass (BMI) and my BMI is normal =P

Got some swags though. I love the stress monitor card.

- Maps: New hybrid view, same as Google Maps. Satellite imagery and street mapping available on a single view.
- Maps: Location triangulation. Uses nearby WiFi access points and GSM towers (on the iPhone, anyway) to roughly guesstimate your current location.
- Web Clips: Web bookmarks can now be saved as home screen icons, including zoom and location information.

Christmas Reunion

We had our family reunion at my mom's side on Dec 24 and my dad's side on Dec 25. It was nice to see my cousins again and catch up with their lives. Two of my cousins already have kids. Anna's son just turned one and his name is Pope because he was named after Pope JP II. Sarah's daughter is already 5 and her name is Fran-Fran We had the usual "alaskahan" by our uncles and the usual rounds of tequila shots. My 3 youngest cousins entertained us with their dance moves, piano skills and playing the violin. Justin danced Crank That (Soulja Boy) while Katja & Bea played classical music on piano and violin respectively. We didnt stay long coz we have to leave early to look for a bible that DJ & Gem needs for their wedding. We went to Trinoma then Glorietta then MOA, but they didn't find the bible that they're looking for. I got turned off when I saw Trinoma, it is not what I've expected... maybe because it's too over crowded. At Glorietta, I got myself and Darwin a shirt at Hard Rock cafe that has a "Makati" sign on it. When we went to MOA, my mom and I went to SM and did some grocery for Noche Buena. I also bought some "pasalubongs" for my friends here in US.








When we got home, MM and I went to hear mass. I saw Franz and he was sort of surprised when he saw me. I used to hangout with him when I used to work at Ford. He's still the same... still soft spoken =P We ate dinner at 11ish with my 2 in-laws and we reminisced the good old days =P Zeth gave me a purse that's soooo unique. I love it!






The next day, we went to my Tita Ester's house around past noon. We thought we're already late, but everyone arrived all at the same time. Pinoy time talga =P Daige went with us and he was the center of attention. He received a lot of aguinaldos because everytime he receives an envelope, he smiles and they get photo ops with him =P I also met my god daughter Pauline and she grew up so fast. I gave her my first Christmas gift and it's good that she liked it. I gave her a Barbie doctor version set.







We went to my dad's moseleum and prayed and took a family picture. I miss you daddy! Merry Christmas!

We celebrated New Year's eve at the twins house. Earlier that day, we just stayed home and watched Wowowee. I slept for a couple of hours then blogged about by vacation in the Philippines while Darwin is playing his XBOX. We then realized it's about time to leave the house because it's already 11pm. We're supposed to go to Tita Marlene's place for dinner but we didn't have that much time. So we went straight to the twins and met the gang... Sherwin, Jannie, Chris, Janet, Eric, Tin, June, Jamie and Vicky were already there. They can't wait to hear my vacation story and the changes in Pinas... honestly, I got culture shock. Jamie keeps reminding us that there's only a few minutes before midnight strikes. We watched the New York times square countdown and they all want to experience what we did last 2005 (see NYE 2005 celebration here). We're actually planning to go down Vegas next year then New York the year after.

5...4...3...2...1... I kissed Darwin, everybody greeted each other and we drank our champagne.. We then played Rock Band and we all got crazy and drunk. Jamie served cocktails that night and he gave us Sex on the beach, midori sour, pina colada and tequila shots.

Daige Christening

Welcome to the Christian world Daige. I'm so honored to be one of your godmother. Your dad asked me to be the principal godmother that's why I'm required to attend the seminar the day before your baptism. It was all good, I know most of the topic since I go to mass every Sunday and Darwin gave me a quick review when he called me the night before. He went to two seminars here in the US. In-demand ang uncle mo dito =P

Anyways, the event started at 11am and the church was full of babies to get baptized with their parents/godparents carrying them. The reception was held at Poquito Mas in Paseo SRL. I get a chance to know more about Gem's family and friends. DJ's friends were there too but I know most of them... Jeff, Boom, Chester, Nino and his wife. Jeff is also into photography and he owns the same SLR camera that I have.. Canon Rebel XTi... They call it 400D in Pinas though. We exchanged notes and he uses the Auto mode.. I use the manual mode and told him that I get more control with manual mode. =P
