St. Jude Church
The rain was pouring hard when I woke up and I'm still a lil bit lazy to get ready. Darwin left early and met the rest of the guys at Alan's pad while the girls decided to just go with me to the church. I started around 10ish, took a shower then fixed my hair with my new curler. It took 40 minutes to fix my hair coz I have longer hair now. I like it though coz I can doing anything with it. I stopped by the twins house at 1pm to pickup Janet, Tin, Tita Lily and Tito Eric. It takes an hour to get to the church coz it's in Westlake Village. Thank God it was not raining anymore.

The church is huge and the ceremony is well planned. Most of the guys were part of the entourage so we're there to take pictures/videos/etc. It's soooo funny when they look at us and pretend like they dont see us. Jannie even caught Alan wiping his left eye but we're not really sure if he's crying. I was really starving coz I didnt eat any since I woke up. Jannie and I went back to her car to check if she has any snack bar or ANYTHING to munch but there's NOTHING. Took a LOT of pictures at the church then we headed to the reception.

The reception started with finger foods coming out every 10 minutes and an open bar. Jannie and I started with White Russian (Kahlua, Baileys and vodka) and the rest had margarita. There's a LOT of guests, I think there's about 200 people there. Sherinie told me that she has a huge family and about 75% of the guests are hers. Our goup occupied 3 tables and our table is on the other side. Everytime any of our friends passes by, we scream their name. Our table is the loudest and the craziest. We also decided not to let the newlyweds eat by clanking the glass so they'll kiss. We're BAD. hehe =P It's a fun wedding.

Silver Wedding

We just got home from Bakersfield after eating breakfast at my aunt's house. I'm still tired from the 2 hour drive but I dont want to rest or sleep..so I decided to transfer all pix to my PC and upload to ofoto while blogging. =P

It was their silver wedding celebration last night at Coco Joe's. Darwin was assigned to be the DJ and I'm the photographer. My aunt was asking me if we'll going to put up a business coz it's a perfect match.. you know for parties and all. Hmmm, it's just a hobby I guess but who knows =P Anyways, we got there an hour early and the restaurant is still closed, so went to Sonic for lunch. We don't have Sonic in LA and the place is kinda nostalgic coz you'll order from your car and eat it there. But since it's gonna be too messy, we just ate at one of the "few" tables outside.

We went back to Coco Joe's and met up with my relatives and introduced Darwin. They like him =) We setup the DJ equipments and my cousins helped as well. They have a really nice ambiance, it has a tiki theme and everyone is wearing a Hawaiian attire. The party started at 5:30pm sharp but the food was not served until 7pm. Ooohh, I was sooo hungry so while waiting for food, I took a lot of pix.

The food was Ok.. maybe because I'm still full from the burger I had at Sonic. I got to meet some of AJ's friends and there's this one cute girl who's only 14 that's being paired with my cousin Sernan. Oh, young love. They look cute together.

There were about an hour of presentation before the REAL party started. DJ Darwin started playing Top40s until my aunt requested 70s/80s music for the oldies =P Oh, Darwin was bringing down the house, everyone was dancing and I'm so PROUD that my lovey is spinning. =P

When it's time for HipHop, youngsters (including me.. hahaha) went to the dance floor and showed what they can do. It was funny when my cousins danced coz they did this crazy step I've never seen before. I went back to check on Darwin and there's a lot people asking for "their" song but there's this one crazy guy who requested for "sweet" music. How can you make a transition from hiphop to sweet?

The party ended at 11pm sharp and we left after 30 minutes. We went to my aunt's house for the "after party" and Darwin told me that it's only like 7pm coz everyone is still up at 12mn. =P We had dinner, videoke, beer and margaritas. We called it a night at 2am.

Kate's wedding

Last Saturday, I woke up early to prepare for the wedding. I usually dont wake up before 9am on weekends but I have to. Good thing I had everything prepared the night before... bought a bag that matches my shoe, ironed the shawl which Im gonna wear and had my digicam recharged. First stop: Hair Salon.. I had my appointment at 11am and I got there 10 minutes early just so they'll get me started at 11am SHARP. But they let me wait for 30minutes. AAARRRRGH!!! I kept on asking the lady when she'll do my hair coz I have another appointment at 1pm. She told me she'll start with me in 20minutes... I almost lost my temper.. hehehe The result was good though coz she was able to do what I really like and the stylist is nice too. Next stop: Bobbi Brown at Nordstrom, Topanga. It's my first time to have my makeup at the mall. It's kinda awkward because there's lots of people looking at me while the makeup artist is putting makeup on my face. hahaha Totally new experience.. I just told Tamara, my makeup artist, that the motif is burgundy. She emphasized my eyes instead of my lips coz she told me I that that's my asset.. hahaha Nambola pa.. I bought the same color of lipstick she had on me and same blush coz instead of paying for what she did, I have to buy 3 items. Next stop: Apartment. Ofcourse, I need to change.. hahaha. Before leaving, picture-picture muna..

The garden wedding was held at Castaway in Burbank. It's a nice wedding. Almost all of Darwin's relatives are there so it's like a family reunion na rin. I get to meet his uncles from Vegas and their cute sons... Kyle and Ace. Darwin and I are one of the secondory sponsors, we're assigned to put a veil on them..that's the hardest part of the ceremony coz you need to pin it and you dont want to get them hurt. Reception was held there too.. food was great!!! When it's time for ballroom, Darwin asked me dance with him and we're the first couple at the dance floor. It's about time to use what we learned from our swing sessions in Pasadena. His aunts were all surprised coz it's the first time they saw Darwin swing dancing.. His mother went next.. hehehe. His cousin Ace danced with me and Jill. You cant believe how hyper he is and he danced all night long... Take note, he's only 3yrs old.. hahaha
