Day 1 - Feb 15
Departure from LA: 7pm
Arrival: 1mn
We had dinner at Denny's in Bishop.. it's just another hour drive to our condo in Mammoth Lakes. (no pictures were taken coz we're really exhausted) Almost everyone were already sleeping when we arrived. We took a shower then went to our room to sleep.
Day 2 - Off to Mammoth ski resort
I woke up at 7am then we had breakfast that Jannie prepared. It took us another couple of hours to prepare and by the time we reached the resort, it's already 11am. I had a total of 5 runs and the best run was the 4th one at lift #7! The slopes were not that steep so it's all good. I also learned how to do heel side coz I always do toe side. I then realized that's it easier to control your board with heel side. I also didn't run into the hassle of renting snow boots and snowboard coz I already have my own! Finally! =P We left the resort at 5ish and I'm sore all over. My whole body hurts a lot esp my calves. Sher told me it's because we're not getting any younger. That sucks! haha Dinner was prepared by Jannie & Sher and I helped in setting up the table. We had shabu shabu! yum! After dinner, we went for a walk to burn everything we ate and to drink some coffee. When we got to The Village, Starbucks is already closed. We just took more pictures. Lights out at 10ish pm.
Day 3 - Feb 17
Departure from Mammoth: 9am
Arrival: 2pm
Woke up at 7am then I packed up all our things. We decided to grab something to eat at Bishop. Jun played Michael V's parody of My Humps.. really funny! Anghang-anghang, anghang.. kinilaw =P I'm gonna miss Mammoth!

Snowboarding #2 - Mt. High
I'm sick and I got the flu and I'm here working. I dont have any sick leave yet since Im new here.. so I had to deal with it. I have aches and pains since Saturday from our snowboard trip. It was fun though coz it's the first time I reached the top of the mountain. It's such a challenge but I chickened out on my way down coz I still dont know how to do "heel side".

My Weekend and Snowboarding
Feb 9, Went to Bakersfield after work to pickup my "pasalubongs" from the Philippines and to give my uncle the gifts I'll send to my mom, siblings, Darwin's god-daughter and to DJ's soon to be son.. Oh! Im gonna have a nephew =) I gave him a Baby Gap outfit and I must say it's sooooo cute. We got Yesha a Baby Gap dress too and there's more cute stuff for girls! =P I arrived in Bakersfield at 5ish and decided to get a mocha frap from Starbucks. They actually have a drive thru - hahaha. I stayed there for the night coz it might rain. Me and my uncle had a nice conversation regarding politics... We discussed about oil and its effect to global warming... As we get deeper on the topic, you'd notice that he's a republican.. well, I'm not! haha
Feb 10, we went to Big Bear and it's a two and a half hour drive from LA. We almost got lost because the 210 freeway is closed for construction. Thanks to Garmin (GPS) we reached our destination. We had some trouble finding the alternate route because Garmin is not updated, but through our instincts, we made it. There's two ski resorts in Big Bear and we're actually supposed to go to Snow Summit but since all the tickets were sold out, we end up at Bear Mountain. We had lunch at Carl's Jr at 12ish then rent the board and boots and we reached the lift at 1pm. I only had 3 runs because Im too slow.. hehe Im scared of getting hurt and breaking my leg or something. It was worth it though and I had fun. Got some souvenir magnet at the gift shop then head home at 5ish. We had Shakey's pizza for dinner (hawaiian thin crust, fried chix and mojos - yummy!)
Feb 11, I had lunch at Bloomingdales with Joyce and the food their was ok and soooo expensive. I had tuna sandwich and she treated me out though so it's ok. =) Im never gonna come back there. =P Too over priced.

Heavenly Ski Resort @ Lake Tahoe
DAY 1 - Depart from LA to San Fran
My day didn't start well coz I woke up late and I missed my plane. Good thing there's a 10am flight to San Jose and there are still seats available. It was sooo stressful, I never missed a plane ever. But it's all good, atleast I was able to relax for 2 hours and listen to my iPod. I arrived at around 11:30 and my mom and cousins were waiting for me. I gave Bea my birthday gift for her... it's the Chronicles of Narnya compiled in one book. It's her request and I dunno if she'll be able to read that thick book =P I slept at the van coz I didn't get enough sleep. I woke up when it's time to eat lunch at some park in Sacramento (our first stop). We had adobo, fried shrimp, egg and rice that my aunt cooked. It's a 4 hour drive from San Fran to Lake Tahoe and all I did is sleep.. Justin actually counted the number of times I slept.. coz I wake up if they need to fill up gas, a restroom break or eat. When we reached Lake Tahoe, we had to put tire chains coz it's snowing. We reached our hotel at 5ish and had dinner at Applebee's. Their food is delicious!!! I've been wanting to eat at Applebee's but there's no resto in LA. The nearest would be Simi Valley.

DAY 2 - Snowboard, Gamble and Winter games
I got off the bed at 8ish and as usual, I'm the last person to wake up. I put on my snowboard gears and we headed to McDonalds for some breakfast. The last time I went snowboarding was 2 years ago, but I still remember the basics and that I'm a "goffy".. Goofy footed is when the rider's natural preference is to ride with the right foot in front. Bea is a skier so she has her own thing going on. We had 6 rides and when it's getting crowded, we decided to call it a day. Fresh snow from last night.. Love it!!! We had dinner at KFC then we headed to Carson City, Nevada to gamble. It's just a few blocks from Tahoe.. but I'm not in a gambling mood so I just stayed with the kids. We watched the Winter Olypmics game at the hotel and we're all rooting for Apolo Ohno, who is really cute. He won bronze at speed skating though. But it's alright, he's still cute =P

Fresh snow.. love it!!! This is the view from the lift..

DAY 3 - Home Sweet Home
We left the hotel at 8ish, had brunch on our way to Foster City then we watched "Gulong ng Palad". This is my new guilty pleasure. I dunno, maybe because "Carding" is really cute and he's madly inlove to "Luisa". See, I even know the name of the characters. They tivo'd the episode last Friday so we're able to watch it before they drop me off the airport. We left Foster City at 130pm and arrived at 2ish. This time I was early... but the security officer is really rude.
