Daylight saving time started a lil early. It used to start every first week of April. My cellphone and laptop didn't have a problem though coz it changed automatically so that's good. It's so hot here in LA. It's like summer already and spring has not started yet. It is still officially WINTER you know..
Ok, I'm on my way home last Thursday and I heard this song at Star 98.7.. I dont know the song and I cant search it on Bearshare. Earlier, it played on the radio (my co-worker keeps her radio on til 4pm) and I got the title and the artist.. Here goes..
You Give Me Something - James Morrison
You only stay with me in the morning
You only hold me when I sleep
I was meant to tread the water
But now I've gotten in too deep
For every piece of me that wants you
Another piece backs away
You give me something
That makes me scared alright
This could be nothing
But I'm willing to give it a try
Please give me something
Because someday I might know my heart
You only waited up for hours
Just to spend a little time alone with me
And I can say I've never bought you flowers
I can't work out what they mean
I never thought that I'd love someone
That was someone else's dream
You give me something
That makes me scared alright
This could be nothing
But I'm willing to give it a try
Please give me something
Because someday I might call you from my heart
But it might be a second too late
And the words that I could never say
Are gonna come out anyway
You give me something
That makes me scared alright
This could be nothing
But I'm willing to give it a try
Please give me something
You give me something
That makes me scared alright
This could be nothing
But I'm willing to give it a try
Please give me something
Because someday I might know my heart
Know my heart, know my heart, know my heart

Like A Star by Corinne Bailey Rae
This is my fave song.. I heard this while watching Grey's Anatomy. Oh.. I'm sooo addicted to GA... I just talked to my friend Archie and he told me that he watched season 2 in two days without leaving the house. hahaha Crazy huh? Anyways, here's the lyrics
Just like a star across my sky,
Just like an angel off the page,
You have appeared to my life,
Feel like I'll never be the same,
Just like a song in my heart,
Just like oil on my hands,
Oh.. I do love you,
Still i wonder why it is,
I don't argue like this,
With anyone but you,
We do it all the time,
Blowing out my mind,
You've got this look i can't describe,
You make me feel like I'm alive,
When everything else is a fade,
Without a doubt you're on my side,
Heaven has been away too long,
Can't find the words to write this song,
Oh.,..
Your love,
Still i wonder why it is,
I don't argue like this,
With anyone but you,
We do it all the time,
Blowing out my mind,
I have come to understand,
The way it is,
It's not a secret anymore,
'cause we've been through that before,
From tonight I know that you're the only one,
I've been confused and in the dark,
Now I understand,
I wonder why it is,
I don't argue like this,
With anyone but you,
I wonder why it is,
I wont let my guard down,
For anyone but you
We do it all the time,
Blowing out my mind,
Just like a star across my sky,
Just like an angel off the page,
You have appeared to my life,
Feel like I'll never be the same,
Just like a song in my heart,
Just like oil on my hands

The Date
Met up at 8pm then went to Pasadena to hang out and watch Music and Lyrics. I actually "forced" Darwin to watch this movie and I think he liked it because Drew Barrymore is there and she's so cute. Got the tickets first at Laemmle's and had dinner at Hurry Curry since the movie starts at 10pm. We got a seat in a flash which is good coz there's only a few people inside. He had Tokyo curry (ground beef with curry and egg) and I had Pork Cutlet with curry on the side. The food was good and I actually liked what Darwin had than mine. I almost finished what's on his plate. =P All restaurants were packed and I remember when we had dinner at Cheesecake Factory 3 years ago for Valentine's, it took us an hour just to wait for a table. Been there, done that.
The movie started with Hugh Grant dancing an 80s song which sounds like A-HA and the song got stuck in my head. It's sooo catchy...

POP! Goes my Heart...
I like the opening song better than what they composed.. haha I might DL it later. Sooo funny.
Lovely sweet night.

Dig by Incubus
WOW!!! I didn't know there was actually a contest to create a video for Incubus.. Fans will direct and edit the video, create a backdrop scenery, add effects, add clips, etc.. Whoever wins will get a MacBook and FinalCut Studio software. The video might be used as the official music video but there's no guarantee.. The winner will be announced tomorrow.

--------------------------------------------------
We all have a weakness
But some of ours are easier to identify.
Look me in the eye,
and ask for forgiveness.
We'll make a pact to never speak that word again.
Yes, you are my friend.
We all have something that digs at us,
at least we dig each other.
So when weakness turns my ego up
I know you'll count on the me from yesterday.
If I turn into another
dig me up from under what is covering
the better part of me.
Sing this song
remind me that we'll always have each other
when everything else is gone.
We all have a sickness
that cleverly attaches and multiplies
No matter how we try.
We all have someone that digs at us,
at least we dig each other.
So when sickness turns my ego up
I know you'll act as a clever medicine.
If I turn into another,
dig me up from under what is covering
The better part of me.
Sing this song!
Remind me that we'll always have each other
when everything else is gone.
Oh, each other when everything else is gone.

Guess who's back!!!
It's nice to be back!! I miss blogging and there's so much to tell. Anyways, HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone. What's new? Nothing much, except that I have a NEW job and I love it!!! But I miss my friends/co-workers from my previous work. I stayed there for almost three years and it feels so different not to see them or talk to them. I call them once in a while to check what's going on. It's all good though. They surprised me with a going away party before I left and I was really touched on the poster they made with their heart warming messages on it. Oops.. drama mode.
Anyways, my new co-workers are friendly. I eat lunch with Julie who's a Filipina.. but she grew up here... so she really dont understand/speak Tagalog. There's Melanie who did the training about our products and I found out that she's studying at the Fashion school where LC from The Hills goes. So we talked about celebrities and movies and stuff.
Ok, I will just list all the things that happened for the last three months..
Places I've been to:
- Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach
- Staples Center for the Clippers Game
- Heritage Square Musuem in Pasadena
- San Francisco for Christmas
- Laguna Beach
- Magic Mountain
- more...
New gadget:
- Nintendo Wii
My favorite song right now is Nothing Left To Lose. I always forget the title of the song and the only word that I remember on the lyrics is yi-heeee.. I know!.... it's not even a WORD!!! hehehe but it goes... See.. yi-heeee.. when he sings it.. You'll get what I mean when you watch the video below.
I bought The Time Traveler's Wife last night at Barnes and Noble. I've been wanting to go to Barnes since Christmas but I dont have time. Got too busy since November and I was so stressed out. I'm kinda back to "normal mode"... Anyways.. the book was recommended by Delfin. I read it earlier and I like it =)
I'm here in the mall til 8pm. It's kinda crowded though. I thought the mall is gonna be empty coz you know everyone going back to school. Later, I'll just go home and relax. I have nothing to look forward to, except that snowboarding get away that Ollie is planning... Overall, that's it. I want to study PHP though.. I dunno when to take it, I might just do it online.
Til next time. I'll be back!

Gravity
I noticed that I have a LOT of Youtube videos in here. hahaha Anyways, I already have the CONTINUUM cd of John Mayer and it's his best album ever! The first time I heard "Gravity" at House (ep2), I know right away that it's John Mayer. It came out last Sep 12 (Tue) but I bought it on Sep 17 (Sun). I missed the sale at Target, but it's ok. I'm still a fan!
~Sing with me!
Gravity is working against me
And gravity wants to bring me down
Oh I'll never know what makes this man
With all the love that his heart can stand
Dream of ways to throw it all away
Oh Gravity is working against me
And gravity wants to bring me down
Oh twice as much aint twice as good
And can't sustain like a one half could
It's wanting more
That's gonna send me to my knees
[repeat]
Oh gravity, stay the hell away from me
And gravity has taken better men than me (Now how can that be?)
Just keep me where the light is
Just keep me where the light is
Keep you all where the light is
Just keep us where the light is
Ohh.. where the light is! [repeat]
