Pinas vacay

The trip was short but worthwhile. I was able to do the things that I planned to do.. and yes, I have an itinerary and my schedule is fully booked. I spent most of the time with my family and I really treasured every single bit of it. I havn't seen them for almost 5 years and they too have grown through out those years. Mom is busy with her new business which is very successful and she's planning to add more computers, she's with me on each and every trip plus shopping... Thanks Mom! JC is engaged and will soon get married.. he's the one who patiently accompanied me around the city coz I really cant drive a stick shift car anymore and traffic in Makati drives me crazy. DJ just got married and has a cutest son. I know Daige will make girls cry because of his killer smile... he's soo adorable. MM just got a new job and will soon work abroad. There's two beautiful ladies that is now part of our family... Gem and Zeth.. my two new in-laws. They are the sweetest and I know they're lucky coz my two brothers are the best.

We dine out every single night and the most memorable one is in Spiral restaurant at Sofitel (Philippine Plaza hotel). I celebrated my 29th birthday there and everyone showed up including my Ninang Ester who's been part of my life since I was a kid. It's nice to reminisce the lives we spent together and the unforgettable moments of our lives. A lot has changed and we have become more mature in dealing with issues but the "alaskahan" is still there. How I wish I can bring them all here in the States. I guess I really missed them so much and I realized how "tight" our family is. I'm so blessed with having them as my family.

Dining out: Recipe @ Greenbelt 3, Dencio's grill @ Tagaytay, Dampa

I also get a chance to see my closest friends, Abbie, Aileen, Charo and Tin (aka Forces of Nature). We had dinner at Masas and catched up like crazy =P I'm really excited to see them again and share my life in the US. I only get updates of their lives through their blog and it feels way different to hear their stories directly from them. They told me about the Baguio trip drama, their love life and work. The night ended with a cup of coffee at Starbucks.. which is kinda weird because it's the same Starbucks where I said goodbye to them back in 2003. I dont know what happened to the mini-mug we bought.. I'm not actually sure if we bought it =P

I also met Jamie who is a close friend of mine since high school. I used to hangout with her at Tita Gi's house to "telebabad", eyeball, watch movies, etc... and we ditch class once in a while =P Our friendship started when she said hi at Cabuyao cemetery because her family's moseleum is just right beside ours. I then realized that we have so much in common. She just got married too and she shared the experience of marriage. I wish I was able to go to her wedding because I witnessed their love story =P She actually asked me to be one of her bridesmaid but I cannot go because my vacation leave wasn't approved at that time. It's so nice to see her again coz I only chat with her through YM.
