WOW!!! I didn't know there was actually a contest to create a video for Incubus.. Fans will direct and edit the video, create a backdrop scenery, add effects, add clips, etc.. Whoever wins will get a MacBook and FinalCut Studio software. The video might be used as the official music video but there's no guarantee.. The winner will be announced tomorrow.

We all have a weakness
But some of ours are easier to identify.
Look me in the eye,
and ask for forgiveness.
We'll make a pact to never speak that word again.
Yes, you are my friend.
We all have something that digs at us,
at least we dig each other.
So when weakness turns my ego up
I know you'll count on the me from yesterday.
If I turn into another
dig me up from under what is covering
the better part of me.
Sing this song
remind me that we'll always have each other
when everything else is gone.
We all have a sickness
that cleverly attaches and multiplies
No matter how we try.
We all have someone that digs at us,
at least we dig each other.
So when sickness turns my ego up
I know you'll act as a clever medicine.
If I turn into another,
dig me up from under what is covering
The better part of me.
Sing this song!
Remind me that we'll always have each other
when everything else is gone.
Oh, each other when everything else is gone.

Last week...
Last Sunday, we went to Salo-Salo Grill in Glendale to celebrate.. Why? Because I got my first full paycheck from my new job. I dont know, I still call it "new" even though I'm here for almost a month. We ordered fish ball (since Darwin is craving for it), lechon kawali and pinakbet. It's sooo delicious and the food melts in your mouth kinda thing that's why I had a lot of lechon kawali and I got sooo dizzy. I asked Darwin if we can have coffee afterwards... so we went to Borders and I had White Chocolate Mocha and he had regular coffee. I took 5 magazines (Lucky, Jane, Vogue, InStyle, People) and read it while drinking my hot coffee. Im not actually reading it, Im just browsing for the dress and the shoes and the purse.. hehehe Anyways, BOrders is about to close and I havn't read People magazine (Im saving the best for last).. so I bought it instead. Im thinking of getting a one year subscription of People.
I finally got the portable vacuum from Amazon.com. I had it on my wish list since last year. hahaha.. I want it so I can clean the car..There's a lot of dirt beneath those rugs you know. And I eat in front of the TV and sometimes the crumbs are all over the carpet. Im a clean freak. =P
Last Wednesday, I went to the gym and burned 200 calories. It felt really good but after every workout I get really hungry. I called AJ and he told me that it's normal.. He worksout 3x a week. But Im on diet, I dont know what food to eat.. so I end up eating baked longanisa with salted eggs (itlog na pula) and tomatoes.
Tennis Update: Williams and Federer won the Australian Open. I got hooked on Tennis Stats yesterday and I found out that Steffi Graf has the most number of consecutive weeks for holding the #1 seed (377 weeks) and Jimmy Connors for 160 weeks. Federer is unbeatable since Feb 2004. He will soon break Connors' record.. He's the #1 seed for 157 consecutive weeks.. Damn, this guy is really good. I havn't seen Serena play this well too. She really deserves to win. She was ranked #81 and by winning this AO Grand Slam, her rank went up to #14.

The Power of Trillian
Ok, I had Trillian since 2005 but I only used its FULL feature last week. =P What I love about this program is that I can use AIM, YM and MSN all at the same time. Here's what happened.. we're only allowed to use MSN at work ok.. but since most of my friends/contacts are either on Yahoo or AOL, I installed both chat programs on my computer.. then my boss caught me.. OOooops.. He asked me who I'm chatting with.. I just told him that I'm asking a question on one of my colleagues but really, it one of my friends on YM. So I installed Trillian and it looks similar to MSN. Oh, and MSN always kicks me out every time I'm idle, so if my boss asks me why I'm using Trillian, I'll just tell him my MSN doesnt work.
I love the archive feature too.. coz only YM has archives right.. so when I accidentally close a window or need some info, I can just look for the log files.

Ready to work out?
I'm supposed to go to the gym tonight after work but I got a call from a friend asking to help her fix her computer. So, I had to change my plans and decided to just go the gym tomorrow. I actually have my gym bag in the car...I just hope I wont get lazy doing this coz it's kinda expensive signing up for a gym membership.
So how did this all started? Darwin has a guest pass at LA Fitness and I told him I want to try it out. So we went to Camarrillo outlet shopping center to buy some gym outfit at Nike. At around 6ish, we went to LA Fitness and I started with the treadmill and I chose the Forest Trail program while I listen to my iPod. Some of the people there reads a book... that's kinda weird.. What's nice about this machine is that it has a fan on it. After 20min, I rest for a lil while and tried the Elliptical Cross Trainer which is a bit harder. I choose the Weight Loss program. hahaha It's good though coz there are times when it increases the stress so it's really hard to move and I got all sweaty. The one thing that made me say YES is this...
Oh... I love to swim... and what's really nice is that it's a heated indoor pool.

Mall Reminiscing
I went to the mall to return a shirt at Forever 21 last Wednesday. It's been a week since the day we closed and here are the things I miss..
Puzzles to sell (taken on Oct 19, I had paper cut that's why I have that HK band-aid)
Freebies (taken on Nov 10 when Coke had their launch party)
Family visits (taken on Dec 30, this is my cute cousin Justin)
Gelato (taken on the final closing day - Jan 9, 2007)
I take pictures whenever I'm bored coz I stay there for 4 hours on weeknights and 8 to 14 hours on Saturdays. It's cool to meet new friends too like Tony who's a constant whiner, Flor who gives FREE Mrs. Fields every night (she gave me a tip on how to bake cookies and I still have a LOT in my fridge) and Arsher, the unlucky guy.
The store was not a runaway success story but at least we have experienced how to run it. We still have some of the puzzles at the storage and we might sell some on ebay or at swap meet.
I actually wanna go to LA this coming Sunday to check out this store that my co-worker told me.. They sell a dollar on everything and she told me that I just have to be patient on "digging" the good stuff.. Oh-oh. Will I be patient enough?.. coz I dont have that. There might be a conflict since I have to go with Joyce to Nordstrom Rack this Sunday too so I really dont know.. but I wish I can.

Lazy/Cool
I got myself a new pair of Rock Republic jeans last Saturday at Nordstrom Rack and I love it. I was actually about to give up coz I cant find anything that's good on me. I was actually comparing Rock & Republic vs. True Religion but the latter has a Buddha stitch at the back that looks weird. So, I ended up with R&R for 50% off. Good deal huh.
Here's the link from eLuxury.
I got so lazy to get out of the house since Friday because it's soooo cold. The weather dropped to 40 Farenheit.. that's 7 Celsius.. and at night it drops to 25F.. so that's freaking -3C =P (Source: Temp Converter) The heater is really useless and I had like two sweaters, flannel PJs, and a flannel blanket, thick socks.. all the works!
It's nice to just stay home and watch DVDs.. last night we watched The Invincible and the night before that we saw Scoop.. such a cute movie =) Step Up sucks!!! I dont even know why I rent that one.
DVDs on my list:
- All the King's Men
- The Illusionist
- Running With Scissors (Feb 2007)
Movies to watch:
- Dreamgirls
- Notes on a Scandal
- The Holiday
- The Queen
We have 4 free movie tix so we can only watch 2 movies for FREE!!!

The Last Kiss?!
I finally saw the movie "The Last Kiss" last night. It's such a GREAT movie. I had it since last week from Blockbuster (online). I usually watch 6 DVDs in a week, but because of my busy schedule, it took me forever to just watch one. =P What's nice about Blockbuster is that there's no late fees. You can have the DVD as long as you want but they wont send the next movie unless you return what you have.
Anyways, here are the quotes that I like from the movie:
"People know the truth. They may not like it or want to know it, but they always know. Lie and you'll lose her."
"I've been thinking about my life lately, and everything feels pretty planned out. There's no more surprises."
"You can't fail if you never give up."
Sooo profound. I kinda relate to what Jenna has gone through, like when you know everything is doing well until you tip over and you don't know what to do. So I guess you should always have PLAN B. It's A must see for everyone who's having a quarter life crisis.. They call it mid-life crisis on the movie though.. is 30s the NEW mid-age?
I like the soundtrack too, when I heard "Warning Sign" by Cold Play... I was like, I know this song.. and I searched it in Amazon and DL'd at Bearshare. I will DL the whole soundtrack later. =P

Wii Play
Release date: Feb 12, 2007
I can't wait!
Last night, I registered Che's Wii so we can see how Mii Parade works and if we can play games online. I shared some of my pictures and sent her a message too. We'll see tonight if she did receive my message... coz she's having a problem adding my Wii.. I played tennis on Wii Sports and it's so much fun! I can't beat Darwin though.. he's soo good. hehehe I will play again later.

Gucci Dog Backpack
I can't believe a dog can have a bag.. and a GUCCI bag? That's too much. I wanna have a Gucci or Chanel bag *someday*, I got this addiction after I saw "The Devil Wears Prada".
I kinda like this...

Best of 2006 (my version)
Best Movie: Little Miss Sunshine
* I laughed from beginning til end. Such a funny movie!
Best Music: Fergalicious by Fergie
* It sounds like Supersonic aight? I memorized the lyrics anyways.
Best Breakup Song: Irreplaceable by Beyonce
* If my cousin didn't tell me how good this song is, I won't like it. The "to the left" line does not appeal to me really. My fave part of the song is..
So go ahead and get gone
Call up that chick, and see if shes home
Oops I bet you thought, that I didn't know
What did you think
I was putting you out for?
-Such a powerful song, You go girl!!! hehehe
Best Beach: Laguna Beach
* On all the beach I've seen here in LA, Laguna beach is on top of my list. I love the beach and I dont understand why other people don't like going there. Love the view, love the smell of the ocean, love the wind that blows my hair, love it!
Best Buy: House MD and Grey's Anatomy DVD
My two fave shows. I got it for $12 each and it's retail price is $30-$40. I got it on Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving)
More later.. I have to close the cart now.

What I miss...
This was taken last Sunday... Most of the time, I chat with my mom on Sundays.. Good thing everybody's home and online and I get to see them on their webcam. DJ also joined our yahoo conference a lil bit later but he doesn't have a webcam at work. He's in Dubai and they have work on Sundays. That sucks aight!
Oh, I miss my family.. I used to plan our gimik on Sundays (after mass) like watch movies or eat dinner or just hangout at the mall.. Anyways, we talked about the guy that JC knows who's supposed to "blind-date" MM but she rejected it =P Most of it are "pang-aasar" and I miss that. We used to bully each other all the time and it's total chaos when we're together.
I'll see you soon!

Guess who's back!!!
It's nice to be back!! I miss blogging and there's so much to tell. Anyways, HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone. What's new? Nothing much, except that I have a NEW job and I love it!!! But I miss my friends/co-workers from my previous work. I stayed there for almost three years and it feels so different not to see them or talk to them. I call them once in a while to check what's going on. It's all good though. They surprised me with a going away party before I left and I was really touched on the poster they made with their heart warming messages on it. Oops.. drama mode.
Anyways, my new co-workers are friendly. I eat lunch with Julie who's a Filipina.. but she grew up here... so she really dont understand/speak Tagalog. There's Melanie who did the training about our products and I found out that she's studying at the Fashion school where LC from The Hills goes. So we talked about celebrities and movies and stuff.
Ok, I will just list all the things that happened for the last three months..
Places I've been to:
- Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach
- Staples Center for the Clippers Game
- Heritage Square Musuem in Pasadena
- San Francisco for Christmas
- Laguna Beach
- Magic Mountain
- more...
New gadget:
- Nintendo Wii
My favorite song right now is Nothing Left To Lose. I always forget the title of the song and the only word that I remember on the lyrics is yi-heeee.. I know!.... it's not even a WORD!!! hehehe but it goes... See.. yi-heeee.. when he sings it.. You'll get what I mean when you watch the video below.
I bought The Time Traveler's Wife last night at Barnes and Noble. I've been wanting to go to Barnes since Christmas but I dont have time. Got too busy since November and I was so stressed out. I'm kinda back to "normal mode"... Anyways.. the book was recommended by Delfin. I read it earlier and I like it =)
I'm here in the mall til 8pm. It's kinda crowded though. I thought the mall is gonna be empty coz you know everyone going back to school. Later, I'll just go home and relax. I have nothing to look forward to, except that snowboarding get away that Ollie is planning... Overall, that's it. I want to study PHP though.. I dunno when to take it, I might just do it online.
Til next time. I'll be back!
