Urbz Addict
I got "Urbz: Sims in the City" last week and I'm really addicted to it. Imagine.. playing it until 3am... that's crazy huh.. I lost track of time because I got stuck at mission 2.5 (Club Xizzle). It took me 4 tries before I was able to finish it but anyways.. I'm done with it. =P What I need to do now is get 2 promotions in Local jobs so I can start mission 3.. Oh.. I can't wait. What I like about this game is I can earn money, buy furniture and design my apartment. I heard that I can even get a pet. If only I can link this up with Nintendogs so I can get Angel..

Anyway, Angel just won 1st place in Obedience Trial (Open class) and that earned me 2,990 trainer points. This competition is hard because he has to do 5 tricks... sit, shake, lie down, roll over and spin in random order.. We missed "spin" but we were able to manage getting the 1st place. I have unlocked one breed (Yorshire Terrier) already so I'm thinking about getting a new puppy.
Back to reality.. hehehe... I did a lot of errands yesterday. went to Home Depot to get key duplicate, returned DVDs to Blockbuster, then bought automatic can opener and a BIG drawer at Target. I like shopping at Target. I stayed there for a while to check some good deals. Went to church for Perpetual Help novena then I got home around 9ish. It was really tiring so I just watched the season premier of The Apprentice: Martha Stewart and she's pretty nice compared to Donald Trump. Instead of saying "You're fired".. her line is.. "You just don't fit in". I will watch both show this season..

Laguna Beach is the REAL O.C.
I'm soooo hooked to this show. I started watching the first season last Tuesday and I did a marathon of it til last Friday (coz it took a while before I receive the second DVD from Netflix). At first, I really don't like watching it coz the girls are sooo spoiled and their such bitches (esp. Kristin). But what made me watch this show from one episode to another.. it's because of Stephen. He is such a hottie and he's sooo sweet to his on-off gf.. Kristin. They are all so freakin rich, they go to Cabo for spring break vacation, they went camping to Catalina on a private yatch and they have BIG houses with a fantastic view of the ocean. I dont really like Kristin on the first 5 episodes because she is such a player and a heartbreaker... she can get any guy she wants and she hooks up with any guy even though she's already dating Stephen. LC on the other hand, is Stephen's shoulder to cry on every time Kristin breaks his heart. So here goes... LC likes Stephen...but Stephen is inlove with Kristin.. and this is where ALL the drama starts.. What I dont get in this show is how can they all hangout knowing that there's conflict between LC and Kristin? You'd see how LC cant help but stare to Stephen and Kristin when they hug or kiss. Poor LC... I started liking Kristin when she starts spending more time with Stephen coz he's about to go to college. She actually cried when they had this intimate moment at the beach watching the sunset.. Aaaawww

The Cast of Laguna Beach Season 1

Stephen.. check his MTV profile (here)
Yesterday, while I was reading People magazine, Kristin is one of the 20 Hottest People and she's the only one who's not an actress nor a singer. She's sooo hot. I like her hairstyle.
Shows that I currenty watch:
(1) Curb Your Enthusiasm (Season 4) - the funniest season ever. Ben Stiller is one of the guests.. =P

(2) Friends (Season 2)

(3) Lost (still waiting for the DVD) - I heard a lot of good reviews and it has garnered a lot of Emmy's too
(4) The Tonight Show with Jay Leno
(5) Late Night with Conan O'Brien

Vegas 2005
DAY 1
We left the valley at 8ish last Sep 9 to go to Vegas.. We didn't really plan going to Vegas not until Wednesday when we decided to spend the weekend in Sin City. I havn't even packed my things yet.. that's how unprepared we were =P But I still managed to prepare a checklist on what to bring, food to eat, etc. The freeway is empty (Thank God) maybe coz it's the weekend after the holiday (Labor Day). It's my first Vegas trip this year, the last time was when we went to Grand Canyon.
I didn't sleep this time. We had a very interesting topic such as how's Angel doing, his new tricks, what's goin on at work, and evolution. I asked a lot of questions and shared some ideas too.. Check Darwin's site for details (here). We stopped over at Barstow (as always) to stretch and drink some coffee. I'm still not sleepy.. I'm so pumped up with our topic, I almost lost my voice. hehehe

Rest at Starbucks in Barstow (we're halfway to Vegas)
First stop is the gas station and gas price is way too cheap here compared to LA. 87 octane averages at $2.70/gallon only while in LA that's $3.10/gallon. Damn.. While Darwin is pumping gas, I took a shot of Mandalay Bay and took the advice of my co-worker to use ISO 400 at night. It worked.. I never had luck taking good pictures at night. Cool!!! We parked at Mandalay Bay, looked for Paigaw table (there's only a few and it's all full, that sucks..we didnt play.), used the Tram to go to Luxor, took pictures since I havn't been there, then we went to downtown Vegas and played Paigow. I only coached Darwin coz I dont have the guts and I might lose all his money.. we won actually but that game really made me so tensed. Ate dinner at PG (Philippine Garden) that Darwin's been bragging about since his Vegas trip with his cousins last July. =P The food is good, we didn't drink though since we already had it at the casino.

DAY 2
At 11ish, we checked out then we decided to go Wynn Resort. It's the latest hotel in Vegas and I heard this has the most expensive room at the strip. I love everything.. from the carpet, the lights, the shops (didn't get a chance to see Manolo Blahnik though, where is it? hehehe) and even the lamps but what really caught my attention is the Ferrari Exhibition.. woooh! there's a lot of it! We had buffet at Wynn and the food is delicious... everything tastes good. After lunch, we hanged out at Fashion Show mall, checked iPod Nano at Apple store (damn, that's really small) and played our nintendogs. Went back to Wynn Resort then we headed to Ceasar's Palace.. we're so tired so we took a nap inside the car.. poor us. hehehe We didn't stay that long at Ceasar's so we went to Bellagio. I didn't like the theme of their botanical garden. It changes every season and this didn't catch my attention. We had dinner at King and I thai resto then we stayed at Darwin's uncle for the night.

DAY 3
I had a long, nice sleep =) We had breakfast at Tito Abet's place that Tita Emmy prepared.. yummy! She cooked beans, bacon & eggs. They're so nice for letting us stay at their new house. They also have a visitor other than us, it is Tita Emmy's sister and her hubby... Stewart.. He's one kind of a fella. I like his accent. He's from Scotland but I dunno if his accent is British coz it's kinda Irish too.. Anyway we talked about his wedding on how everything stopped coz he's wearing this red plaid skirt.. hahaha funny guy.. then he explained to me what UK consists of (he even drew a map on a tissue).. I didn't know that Ireland is divided into 2 regions... Northern Ireland is part of UK while South Ireland is part of Europe. We left Vegas at 11ish, stopped by at Best Buy and Primms, had lunch at Barstow, then pumped some gas. We listend to Phil Hendrie's podcast and the topic that made me laugh my heart out was the one about steaks. According to his character (as a restaurant owner in Beverly Hills) if customer asks for a well done steak, it insults him coz it's like you're paranoid of getting a mad cow disease and that you're more afraid than the military sent to Iraq... I dont get the connection but the way he argues with the caller made me laugh... =P Got home safe.

Labor Day Weekend
Update... UPDATE... update!!!
Sep 2 (Fri) I got my PINK Nintendo DS that matches it's case... soooo cute. Thanks sweetie... Did some laundry. Just chill at home..
Sep 3 (Sat) Did some errands. Rest at home. Dinner at Szechuwan Garden in West Hills (it's a Chinese seat-in resto) then hang out at Barnes and Noble.
Sep 4 (Sun) Spent the weekend at Bakersfield with my relatives. I got there at 5ish and AJ, Sern and Justin picked me up at the bus station. I decided not to drive coz I'm toooo lazy and I want to sleep or play Nintendogs =P. We went to Valley Plaza but they're about to close already, so I just bought something at Aeropostale. Justin was soooo quiet when we went back to the car so I showed him my Nintedogs. He got too interested with the game and he asks a lot of questions. He likes it =P
When Bea (his sister) borrowed the Nintendog, Justin can't wait for his turn to pet Angel, so I told him to give Bea another 5 minutes.. =P They're cute... When Tita Tina arrived from work, we watched the home video they took when they visited Manila... Oh, I miss my family and cousins back home.. For dinner, we had grilled squid, grilled pork, pork blood stew (dinuguan) and stuffed fish (relyenong bangus) that Tito Noel cooked. Yummy! I'm bloated again.. I think I gained another 5 lbs.. I called my mom after dinner so she can talk to her brothers and my cousins. Took a bath and slept at 2ish.

with Justin
Sep 5 (Mon) Went shopping again. My two little cousins went to EB Games to play the Nintendo DS. Justin got addicted to it. They want to buy one but it is already SOLD OUT!! =P Sern asked Justin if he still wants PSP for Christmas. He said no.. he wants Nintendo DS now.. hahaha Nintendogs made him change his mind. While he's playing, I had a quick chat with the sales guy coz he also has Nintendogs. He already have two puppies.. I dunno if I'm gonna get another puppy (it might be a pug).. I think it is expensive to have two puppies.. Yeah, you need to earn money so you can afford to buy another puppy. You can do this by walking the dog (I do it 3x a day) or winning the competitions (Angel is 1st place on 3 competitions).
Left Bakersfield at 2ish. Damn, it's soooo hot! I called Darwin that I might be late coz it's traffic.. Two things that I really hate.. heat and traffic.. =P I met him at the bus station then we went to Fashion Square to shop some more.. But we didn't get any.. We went to Grounded Cyber cafe in Sherman Oaks to hangout, get some smoothies and surf the net. It's a small room, I think they only have 10 PC stations there. They also have *free* wi-fi so we might juz bring our laptop and surf the net for free =D
