Memorial Day Weekend at San Francisco

My college friend Cherrie/Cho visited me for the holiday. We were supposed to meet in LA but since I'll fly to Frisco for the weekend, she changed her itinerary. I stayed at my uncle's humble home in Foster City with my mom and relatives from Bakersfield. She was surprised to see my mom here in the US. She asked me a week earlier if my mom has some "pabilins". I wasn't able to respond to her email until she found out she's here too. Anyway I got all my pabilins from her and Im so happy: 3 Tagalog movies (Mano Po 2, Mr. Suave, Regine-Christopher new movie - I forgot the title), pyondontyl and swallow hair coat. She has pasalubongs for me too, it's a dangle earring and some goodies from Pinas.

Day 1: Buy pasalubong at Porto's, depart from Burbank to Frisco, BBQ, pet Chris' dog, BC - it's half labrador/half rottweiler dog, watched Lakers game.. we lost =( , videoke (my highest score is 85, yuck!)

That's me with AJ and the kengkoy couple, Sinia and Joey. We're testing Chris' new digicam.

With (from left) Lola, Sern, Tita Imee, me, Chris, AJ, Sinia, Joey, Tita Tina and Tito Noel.

Day 2: Bark Park, Lunch at Onpin's in Daly City, Stanford University, shopping at Ikea and Hillsdale mall, hangout at Steelhead Brewery in Burlingame

Bark Park with my relatives, what a BIG group =) That's Darcy, one of the dogs there. I wanna have a golden retriever someday.

Day 3: Depart from Frisco to Burbank.

At San Jose airport.

Darwin picked me up at the airport. Brunch and shop at Ikea-Burbank (picture frame for our Hearst castle print, Target (floor lamp), Best Buy (Dar's PS2 online pack), Food4Less (grocery), Payless Shoesource (thong slippers), Seafood City (grocery), Video City (rent PS2 game).. whoosh! dme nun ah! It's so hot here in LA, Frisco's weather is a lot better. But gimik-wise, LA is more exciting.

NBA Live 2004

I had fun playing NBA live last night. I've never played any games in playstation before. I tried NBA Live 2002 and Counter Strike PC games with a keyboard (no joystick eh) and I hate it coz I always loose. Darwin was playing it while I'm chatting with my boss (work related) and when it's his time to take a shower, he wants me to continue the game he started. At first, I hesitated coz Im really not into it, but then again, why not give it a try.. =) Since I have no idea how to play it, Darwin taught me the basic controls, how to dunk, shoot, run, etc. I'm loosing, so I started a new game. It's getting better coz I can get points now. Darwin came, he wants us to play, his team is Knicks, mine is LA Lakers. I won.. =) I think I wanna play more of it, but maybe it's just Beginner's luck.. let's see.. hehehehe

Heyya Darwin!!! I'll do it after our weekend getaway I need to study too for my Cisco exam... I haven't started anything yet... Anyway, out of dismay on the result of American Idol last night, I found this bloggie, "american idol rant". It's funny.. I like Jasmine on AI's first week coz she can sing well. Who would not forget her "Inseperable" and "Run To You" version and to top it all, she's a FILIPINA. And I WAS very proud of that. But as the competion comes closer to the finals, she has shown no growth, and to be in the top 3 out of 10,000 people is a travesty. I feel like I dont wanna watch AI anymore coz instead of voting someone with TALENT, it's more of POPULARITY contest. Well, that's how it really works talaga.

Hey Mitzi!!! I'm not visiting our blog anymore. I'm not into hoobastank anymore. Can u change the sounds?? Wish i can do it but havent figure it out yet....when i'm done with my hectic finals week ok!!!

How bout Ushers' "Do it to me" ??? or maybe yung song sa webby ni Rica...feel ko yung song na yon' eh.

Angels power to another win. Halter propels Anaheim to eighth straight
(excerpt from angelsbaseball.com

ANAHEIM -- The Angels' eighth win in a row came with a lot of drama and a heavy price tag. Vladimir Guerrero broke a 2-2 tie with his second RBI double of the game, and Shane Halter hit a pinch-hit grand slam in the seventh inning as the Anaheim Angels rolled to a 7-2 victory over Tampa Bay Saturday night before 43,465 at Angels Stadium.

It was an exciting game and it was SOLD OUT. Good thing we got the tickets 4 days earlier from eBay. Darwin and I enjoyed watching it. It's the first time I've seen a LIVE baseball game, you know.. in a stadium so big. I remember my dad explaining me how the game works, its terms, its rules, etc while were watching the Junior League in TV. I'm so into sports but Im not sporty, I just like watching it.

We cheered with the crowd while spinning the white Angels' shirt with Guerrero's name on in. He's the best player of the team pala. It's a freebie - I love anything that's free, who would not? hehehe.. We had an Italian sausage, cola and peanuts. Darwin told me that baseball is a game to relax and EAT.. Pero grabe, a bottle of cola is worth $4.25 but if you'll buy it at Vons it's only $1.25.. that's too much!!!

We decided to leave after the eight inning because it will be really hard for us to get off the parking area.. for sure it's gonna be traffic. Got home really tired...
