Dec-Jan-Feb Update

Here goes...

Dec 1-7
Got my 1TB external drive from Amazon.com which I bought on Black Friday. Chased Kogi taco truck at UCLA and we had short ribs KBB which is my fave! We celebrated our Christmas party early so we can also cheer for Manny’s fight against De la Hoya.

Dec 8-14
We subscribed to TFC so we can watch more Manny news.. He’s like a rock star back home. Went to Viper training which was really boring. I made shoes and pearls out of play-doh! :D On Dec 13, we went to Waikiki.

Dec 15-21

Dec 22-29
Saw Marley & Me with Sherwin and Jannie.. Damn! That movie made me cry 20x!!! I love it though! It’s either I get a golden retriever or a labrador or a labradoodle :) We had our post Christmas party/ family reunion. My cousin from Texas is our bartender. That choco cake shots made my head spin! I slept early and Darwin hanged out with my cousins.

Dec 30-Jan 4
Celebrated New Year’s Eve with the gang in Las Vegas. I won the jackpot for the FIRST time!!! Thanks Mr. Woo! I must be lucky! :) Darwin switched to Mac. We picked it up after we got home from Vegas.

Jan 5-11
Earthquake!!! This is the 2nd time it happened in LA. Is the BIG one coming? I hope not! Watched the Lakers game on Jan 9 and we got the VIP seats.. sweet! After the game, We went to see DJ Denkim at Terrace bar in Pasadena then had late night dinner at Korea town. Shabu Shabu party at the twins. Saw Pineapple Express and James Franco is sooo hot!

Jan 12-18
Watched Burned After Reading and it was hilarious and weird. Steve Jobs is on medical leave. I hope he’d get well soon. Saw Slumdog Millionaire and fell in love with it. I knew they’re gonna win the Oscars... they deserve it. It was a looong weekend so we decided to go to Vegas to visit Darwin’s uncle. They also have pasalubong for us from Pinas.

Jan 19-25
Donated stuff on MLK day. Watched the Inauguration and Mr. president looks so cool. I was actually thinking about calling off that day or working from home but I have an important meeting I need to attend. Another earthquake had shaken LA again. Scared. Installed emoji on my iPhone.. I love it! and it’s free!! Bought tweetie app too! It’s the best paid app I’ve ever bought!!! Packed the Christmas tree. The holidays is done.

Jan 26-Feb 1
Craving for Kona coffee and discovered that Trader Joe’s have it. Been a fan of Trader Joe’s since then coz they have a lot of organic food. Got iPhoto ‘09.. face recognition is awesome! Went to Crumbs and had red velvet and artie lange. Yum!

Feb 2-8
Installed Google Earth 5.0 on my mac. The app is great but kinda creepy. I think it will benefit all the stalkers out there. Lakers beat Celtics.. Boston sucks! Saw HIJNTIY.. damn, I love the scene with Jen and Ben :) My cousin AJ and his gf Kim were visiting. Went to Melrose and got our Johnny Cupcake shirts! The next day, we had lunch at Bubba Gump then watched the Lakers game at Yankee Doodles. Hanged out Beverly Hills then found out about the Chris Brown and Rihanna incident through twitter :) Watched 'Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist' instead of the Grammy's ;)

Feb 9-15
Went to Street Fighter launch party in Tokyo town then had Kogi BBQ. Afterwards, we went to Twestival at Club 740. Got my white roses on Vday! Then we did the couples massage at Pho Siam Thai Spa. Quick bite at Meltdown then had dessert at Sprinkles.

Feb 16-22
Watched NBA All Stars. American Idol Semi-finals started and I’m rooting for Anoop! Celebrated Darwin’s bday early with the gang at Tahoe Galbi. The next day, we hanged out with Tin and Eric at Lamill Cafe then went to get some Kogi BBQ.

Feb 23-28
It’s Darwin’s official birthday and I took a day off :) We had dinner at Houston’s in Santa Monica :) Watched ‘The Rocker’ and Rain Wilson was sooo funny so I twitted him. He responded back saying that he hates the Lakers. WTF lol :D Then I remember I have it on my profile page in twitter saying that I’m a Laker fan. Went to church for Ash Wednesday. I promised that I’d give up soda for Lent (I havn’t had one since then!) Bought the Watchmen tix online.

I just got a call from Jill who’s been a good friend of mine since I came here in LA. The first time I met her, we clicked right away. I guess coz we have so much in common and we love the same things. Since she lives in Anaheim, which is an hour away from me, we don’t see that often but still we get in touch through text, email or friendster... yeah, she still doesn’t have facebook.. LOL.

Anyways, she’s inviting me for her housewarming party next Saturday. I actually kidded and asked her if it’s for her engagement party.. she just laughed. I’m so happy for her coz this is one of her dreams.

Sunday plans: stay home!
