August Update
Swimming Lesson
Darwin and I don't know how to swim so we decided to take swimming lessons at YMCA. It works on both our schedule since it starts after work hours, for 2 sessions every week. I already know freestyle but I'm having issues in breathing. I hold my breath until I run out of air, then stop in the middle of the pool. After day 1, I learned the 'right' way of breathing, Day 2 - I learned backstroke, Day 3 - I learned to dive and was able to complete 2 laps, Day 4 - I learned breaststoke, Day 5 & 6 - more swim practice. I missed the last 2 sessions though. In between lessons, we go to the gym or go to Pink Berry for some healthy treats.
Summer Olympics
I have tivo'd ALL swim, beach volleyball & basketball games and cheered for the US team until its closing ceremony. Since one episode takes about 6 to 8 hours to record in high definition quality, it overwrites anything that was already recorded and most of it are Darwin's shows. But it's good that we have another tv that records his shows but it's not on high def. Sorry! =P
Work Related
We celebrated the success of our project on Aug 13 after completing its user acceptance testing (UAT). The soft release of the project will occur a week after and everybody were excited on what's going to be the outcome since three applications will be integrated. It's a $1M project that will save a lot of hours/money in customer service by using our Correspondence Workflow application.
The project was released in 3 phases, from Aug 22 to 24. On day 1, I lead the implementation from 5-8pm. On day 2, I stayed up until 1am to support the business in conducting post validation. On day 3, we have finally completed the implementation.

08/08/08 Polka Polish
We decided to try Polish food because Darwin's cousin keeps bragging that it's delicious. The ambiance is homey, but the food is so bland and expensive. Maybe because I'm so used food with too much spices like Thai and Indian cuisine so Polish food does not really appeal to me.

We celebrated our 5th anniversary. I got the 50mm EF f/1.4 lens for my SLR and I gave sweets Rock Band for Nintendo DS.

After an excruciating implementation of 17 hours for 3 days, I have finally got out of the house! We had lunch first, then walked to the beach, then shopped at 3rd Street Promenade. I just love LA coz I can do everything in one stop =)

I've been following US politics since the caucuses on 'Super Tuesday'. I've been watching CNN since DNC and RNC started. I can't wait until the presidential debate starts on Sep 26
