Dec 23 - Christmas Party @ Work

I was assigned to get a Visa gift card for everyone. I was accompanied by Nikko to Pavillions and we did some grocery too for the tequila (salt & lemon & shot glass). When we got back, lunch is ready. We had Kebab for lunch. Good food. Then we have to get back to work afterwards coz the party starts at 4pm. The party was organized by Archie, Edgar and myself. It's the first time we had a program coz usually we just eat out for dinner. Anyways, the program started with stories and greetings across diversity.. oh how we celebrate Christmas and Hannukah. It was followed by 5 special awards wherein I got 2.. =P It's the Most Affable and Most Creative Award (NAKS NAMAN!!! hehehe) It was done thru ballots and Archie was the one who tallied the results so I have no idea about it =P They were all teasing me na it's LUTO since I got 2 awards and our big boss got my name too for the Exchange gift. hehehe We had games too and our group lost coz I can't burst my balloon.. Teehee..

After the party, I went to Honeybaked Ham to pickup my order. It's a gift for Darwin's family. I went to Marie Callender afterwards to pickup the pie I ordered for our dinner. It was really foggy that night and I can't see the car that's in front of me... not even the freeway entrance.. I missed it twice =P

We had Thai for dinner and the banana pie from Marie Callender. Darwin gave me another gift for Christmas. It's a heart necklace with 3 diamonds =) It's looks so pretty.. Thanks.. It didn't stop there. He gave me another gift so I can open it on Christmas Day.. it's Charmed Season 2 DVD. The first gift is the Nike Shox... =P

Dec 24 -Noche Buena with my fam

I arrived at Bakersfield at 3ish. My cousins and I watched "The 40 year old Virgin". It's really funny.. There are familiar places too like the street of Ventura Blvd and Versailles in Encino that's near the eBay store..

Went to church for the midnight mass then we had Noche Buena. Justin can't get enough of Mario Kart DS. I saw him sitting at one corner playing the game. =P When it's time to open the gifts, the kids were so excited. It's cute to see their reaction. I guess I was like that when I was a kid.








Dec 25 - Family Christmas Party and Tita Tina's Birthday

When I woke up, I don't feel good coz I have muscle pains and I have a fever. I took some pills and it helped a lil bit. We watched the Lakers game. Took a shower and visitors arrived at 5ish. Had dinner. Chat for awhile. Played poker. Then I slept at 11pm coz I really dont feel good.

Dec 26 - Home sweet home

I arrived in LA at 6ish. We're supposed to go to the mall to return somethin but I'm so tired that I need to rest first. Oh, earlier that day, I bought a Rampage faux sherpa boots from Gottschalks coz I got a $25 gift card from my godmother (yeah, I still get gifts from my godparents.. hehehe) and there's no Gottschalks in LA. Damn, I got a really good deal coz it's original price was $80 and I got it only for $40... then less the gift card.. So, I only paid $15 for the shoes.. =P

My Birthday

Got a wake up call from Darwin and mom. I really don't wanna go to work that day but I have to. There's no traffic, pretty good day... what a nice start =)

I received a lot of greetings from my family and friends and from some peeps who I dont expect would remember my birthday. That really made me smile. I'm so greatful to have such friends.

My co-workers were so sweet surprising me with a birthday cake and a card. Actually, I was about to leave the office when they sung the birthday song with the cake =P I got teary-eyed. It was a pretty cake with lots of fruits on it.. yummy!!! Archie took all of these pictures, he actually took my digicam from my purse since he knows that I always bring it.

Met Darwin after work to eat dinner at Tony Romas and watch King Kong at Universal City Walk. I had baby back ribs.. I thought I wont be able to finish the 9 slabs of the ribs but I did. Oh, I really did pig out. Walked a lil bit to digest the food then went to the theatre to watch the movie. It was a loooong movie but it was really good. Darwin fell asleep though.











Got home at 1am. Had a great day. I'm happy. Slept peacefully. Thanks for everything Lord.

The new apprentice

I just know that Randal's gonna win.. He's got good leadership and he's nice to his team members and to top it all, he's got a strong academic background (Rutgers, Oxford, and MIT) WOW!!!! He really deserves it!!

I thought it's a tie between the 2 Rs.. when Mr. Trump asked Randal if he would want to hire Rebecca too. Well, if Randal said yes, then that defeats the purpose of the show. He intelligently replied "..that you're looking for an apprentice.. not an apprenti (plural)"... Good job Randal!!!

Feel the Magic

This is the new DS game I'm addicted to. It has a lot of style and it's fun to play. I just love it. I still play Mario Kart and Nintendogs... Love it all!!!

Went shopping again last Saturday at Fashion Square in Sherman Oaks, watched a Variety show in West Covina. Sunday, ate lunch at Encino Deli, hear mass at Our Lady of Peace, returned some stuff at Best Buy then ate dinner at IHOP in Burbank. Watched Madagascar at home... VERY HILARIOUS. "I miss New York tuloy" =P

Alanis @ Avalon, Hollywood

December 1. Got there at around 7ish and the show started at 9pm, which is an hour behind. But it's alright. The club is packed and there's a lot of Alanis hard core fans and... I mean A LOT. Do you know who Mr. Duplicity is? I don't.. hehehe So I guess I'm not that fanatic to Alanis but I LOVE listening to her music. The first song is YOUR HOUSE and the crowd cheered as she enters..

First Turkey Dinner

Yeah, it's true. I never had turkey during Thanksgiving.. EVER! and this is the first time =) It's hard to look for a restaurant that's open on Thanskgiving so we ended up eating at Coco's.

Went to CompUSA for the 12mn sale but I didn't get any. They ran out of stock of the flash drive I'm eyeing for. I bought the flash drive at amazon.com instead.

Last night, I did some shopping at Circuit City. Actually, I just need an ink cartridge for the printer then I noticed that there's only one DVD left for Seinfeld Season 5 so I immediately grabbed it. The Batman Deluxe ed DVD with comics that Darwin wants is on sale too... so I bought the two. They run out of stock of Seinfeld Season 6 though so I bought it online.

I already got mom and Darwin a Christmas present. I hope they'll like it =P

Am I a gamer now?!?!

It all started with Nintendogs, then Guitar Hero, and now comes Mario Kart... So... am I a REALLY a gamer now?!?! I've been playing Mario Kart every night and it takes me an hour or two playing it without interruption.. There's this one time when I finished all tracks in one sitting... yeah, that's how addicting it is. What's cool about this game is you can play it online thru wifi and compete with other online racers. There are good racers that's hard to beat but there are beginners too (like me) who I pw'nd (gamer word for beaten.. hahaha yabang ko!!! =P. It's nice to compete with someone you don't know coz you feel the rush of winning. Earlier, I did 'time trial' to practice 'drifting'. I was about to go to McDonald to connect online coz there's one near my apartment with free wifi hotspot, but Law & Order SVU is playing... I watched the latter. =P

Yesterday, we went to Xbox 360 launch at Hawthorne and it's just crazy.. There's a long line waiting for its midnight sale. The first in line is this lady who stayed there the other night with a sign "I love my fiance this much"... crazy-crazy!!! It's like a camp site out there.. Actually, we heard about this launch at AOTS and Kevin (one of the hosts) was there to do the countdown. He's a funny guy. We had burger at McDonalds and played Mario Kart wifi. See pix below..

Guitar Hero

I miss playing Guitar Hero.. It's a game for Ps2 and it's fun playing it coz there's a lot of good music and I can't help but "headbang". We'll play it again after Darwin's exam coz I kept the controller the other week so he can study =P . Oh, I remember the time when our band (Exordium) hangout at Ajie's pad and jam all day long.

Last Friday, we had dinner at Obi's place. We watched the Lakers game (we lost.. huhuhu) and listened to BEP's songs from my ipod til it run out of battery. They hooked my ipod to this cheap PC speaker but still, it's good music. We ate at 9ish and I had salad (oh, I love the balsamic vinaigrette), grilled squid, roasted chix and pasta. I got home at 11ish and Darwin is already sleeping. He must be really tired...

Saturday, did some laundry. We just stayed home and watched the shows recorded in Tivo. Sunday, we went to Burbank after church to hangout at Barne's and Noble.. We had some coffee then I watched Bewitched from the laptop while Darwin's studying. It's all good.

Photo shoot

We had a photo shoot at work this morning. It was very awkward coz the photographer is my co-worker. But he's good though, he has won a lot of awards back home and I think he's going to submit this pictorial as an entry or something. I volunteered to be the first to do it since all of them don't wanna go first and you know, just to get over it. hehehe I can't wait to see how it looks like... I'd want to learn photography too but I guess it will take some time to be good at it.

Earlier, I was craving for tacos so Archie offered to buy lunch at Tito's Tacos =P I'd want to get the supreme tacos with sour cream like what Taco Bell has but Tito's Tacos don't put sour cream on their tacos.. =P I know they're famous and all but I don't like their tacos.. it's too oily.

Alanis Morissette's gonna have a concert at Avalon in Hollywood on December 1 but the ticket will be on sale tomorrow. I instantly remembered Tins coz her boyfriend (John) works at Ticketmaster. I asked her if she can reserve 2 tix for me and she said he will =P Oh, I cant wait anymore. I hope we'd get the tix!!!

It's Apprentice night today and I wonder who's gonna get fired =P

Today is Mom's birthday. Had a teleconference with my mom and my sister MM earlier and we talked until my pinoy card got all used up.

I've just received my credit card from Kristof's Jewelers.. I almost bought those expensive jewelries last Thursday... . Imagine, a total of $5,000 for 3 necklaces and a pair earring. How can I pay everything off? I'm not ready to invest on jewelries and the only reason I was on that store is to get my wallet. Yeah, I left my wallet at the mall (yeah, Im so careless... hehehe) the day before and I have to get it from the lady that works at Kristof's Jewelers. She told me that she saw it on the sofa and she decided to keep it instead of handing it over to the security guard. Good thing I have my cell number in my wallet and she was able to contact me. Out of appreciation, I accepted her offer to open an account which lead to fitting all those nice jewelries. =P I called Jill and told her about this and she can't stop laughing. She knows I'm not into jewelries and I rarely wear what my mom gave me.. So there!!! =P

Saturday, did some laundry in the morning then I reformatted my laptop that night. I was hesitant at first coz I'm not sure if I have made backup of all my files.. Actually, the only important files on my laptop are pictures and the rest are garbage..hahaha. All my MP3s are on my iPod and I have already burned all my DVD movies, so I guess everything was covered. The only thing that I don't want on a newly reformatted PC is to re-install all the apps. The first application I installed was Norton Antivirus then I did Windows System Update so I'd get protected from virus before I connect to the internet. I still have a lot of things to install and I'm not sure if I've kept the cracks of the software I got for free =P Anyways, we watched Jackie Brown that we Tivo'd last week and the movie was very Quentin Tarantino. Love the music, love the settings, love the plot... I even DL'd its soundtrack and it's one of my most played music on my iPod... it's "Didn't I Blow Your Mind This Time" by The Delfonics.

Sunday, I had a haircut coz I'm getting bored with my long locks. =P I had it layered but I think it got too short. I like it though. Afterwards, we went to Best Buy coz they have this good deal on Plasma TVs and we can't afford to let it pass. They don't have the one that we like though so we have to wait til tomorrow, Nov 2. We had dinner at Tita Zita's house then we said our goodbyes. Missed mass =( Watched the Halloween Special of Magandang Gabi Bayan and that scared the hell out of me.. I wasn't able to finish the whole documentary coz I get goosebumps and Darwin kept on scaring me. LOL

Monday, we went to Ikea to get a TV stand so by that time the Plasma TV is ready, it's easy to hook up. I watched Wowowee and The Buzz while Darwin's assembling the TV stand =P These 2 shows are my guilty pleasures. hahaha I helped him once in a while and I fixed the wirings coz I want it all hidden and organized. =P

IGN Live @ Anaheim

Saturday... we went to Anaheim for the IGN Live event. When I got in the convention center, I remember one of the tasks in The Apprentice that Kendra did. It looks very similar except that this has a (mini) car show. I love the pink car (pix will be posted soon). There's also a boxing ring where the video game costume contest is being held. There's lot of guys cheering for the ladies esp. the one in a bikini. (no wonder.. hahaha) Darwin wants to take a picture with Mario's princess but they were to busy posing for the press. I played one of the games in PS2 but I forgot what it is called... =P It's a car race combined with war games and this is the only game that's interesting for me. Oh, there's another game called Tony Hawks Underground that's interesting too.. It's a skateboarding game in H&H (Hollywood and Highlands).. There's a lot of peeps at the XBox 360 section since this will be launched on Nov 22. It's all guys though.. the system that I tried is the GameBoy Micro and it's really small... but it looks weird. Oh, what I love about this event are the freebies..

Sunday, I woke up at 7am with a headache coz I slept really late the other night. Ate Kay stayed in my apartment coz it will be too late for her to go home. We did a lot of reminiscing and updates about our cousins. We watched the videos that tita took on her trip too. That morning, when we're about to go, we had a problem fitting all luggages in my car. Good thing Ate Kay stayed for the night. We used two cars to LAX then. =P I dropped my aunts to LAX airport at 8ish in the morning. Slept all day until it's time to hear mass.

Oh.. We already have TFC!!! Darwin took the subscription last Friday and we'll try it for a month. "Wowowee" is really something. I can't help but laugh at Willie's sarcastic jokes. He has a passion in hosting too and that keeps his show's rating high. Also, it's now easy to update Tivo listings coz we just received the wireless adapter to connect via ethernet. I have Laguna Beach as season pass.. hehehe

I'm going-going... back-back.. to L.A.-L.A. =P
